Where can nonprofits get free marketing help?
Nonprofits can get free marketing help from Lub Bub, a marketing co-op that matches cause-driven organizations with early-career marketers and an experienced mentor, with no fee and no paid tier. Other free options include Google Ad Grants for search ads, Canva for Nonprofits for design, and skills-based volunteers through Taproot Plus or Catchafire.
How the Lub Bub co-op works
1. Apply with your cause
Tell us who you are and what you are fighting for. Nonprofits, social enterprises and purpose-led businesses are all welcome. You confirm you are authorized to market the cause.
2. Get matched with a team
Early-career marketers from university and co-op programs pick up your project, guided by a mentor who reviews every submission.
3. Approve, then go live
Social, content, fundraising and PR work goes out only after you sign off. You stay in control of how your cause is told.
What it asks of you: a few hours a month to share your story, answer questions and approve the work.
Why it is free
Students and early-career marketers need real, supervised projects for their portfolios, credit and careers. Mentors donate their expertise to keep the work accountable. Your cause is the client, so there is no invoice, no freemium trap and no selling your supporters' data.
Other free marketing help for nonprofits
Google Ad Grants: eligible nonprofits can get up to $10,000 USD per month in Google Search ads at no cost.
Canva for Nonprofits: Canva Pro features for free, for registered nonprofits that meet Canva's eligibility rules.
Taproot Plus: a free online program that connects nonprofits with pro bono volunteers in marketing and other skills.
Catchafire: skills-based volunteers for projects such as marketing strategy and design. Memberships are often covered by a local funder, and nonprofits without one can request a membership.
